What are Cookies?

How do I enable cookies on my browser?

Enabling cookies is different for each web browser/version. We have collected instructions for a variety of commonly used browsers, shown below. (If you don´t know what version you are using, you´ll need to find out by going to the "Help" menu in the top of your web browser window, and selecting the "About" option. This will give you the version number you are using.).


 Internet Explorer

  • Internet Explorer 8.x

    On the Tools menu, click Internet Options
    1. Click on the Privacy tab near the top of the window.
    2. Click on the Default button of the window.
    3. Move the slider so that it is on one of the levels below Medium High (including Medium, Low, Accept All Cookies).
    4. Save changes by clicking OK
  • Internet Explorer 7.0

    On the Tools menu, click Internet Options
    1. On the Privacy move the pointer up for a higher level of privacy or down for a lower level of privacy. Lower levels will allow more cookies. Slide the pointer down to increase your browser's tolerance of cookies
    2. OR: Choose the Advanced button below the pointer, and check the "override automatic cookie handling" and choose the cookie settings you prefer. You can always re-set to the default settings and start over if you choose to experiment
    3. Note: To only allow cookies from EmbroiderySewing.com, click the Sites button, enter "http://www.embroiderysewing.com" in the text field, and click the Allow button

    In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the View menu
    1. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Prompt Before Accepting Cookies or Always Accept Cookies
    2. Click on Setting
    3. Double click on Control Panel
    4. Click the Custom Level button near the bottom
    5. Scroll down until you see Cookies
    6. Click either Enable or Prompt (If you click Prompt, you will need to accept the cookie when you are at EmbroiderySewing.com to enjoy all the benefits!)

 Google Chrome

  • Google Chrome

    1. Click the Tools menu
    2. Select Options
    3. Click the Under the Hood tab
    4. Click Content settings in the "Privacy" section.

    1. Go to the Tools menu.
    2. Select Options.
    3. Select the Privacy icon at the top panel.
    4. Check the box corresponding to Accept cookies from sites.
    5. In the list next to Keep Until:, select they expire.
    6. Click OK to save changes.

  • Mozilla Firefox 1.0

    1. Go to the Tools menu.
    2. Select Options.
    3. Select the Privacy icon in the left panel.
    4. Check the box corresponding to Allow sites to set cookies.
    5. Click OK to save changes.

 Opera

  • Opera 7.x

    On the Tools menu, click Preferences
    1. Click on the Privacy near the bottom left of the window.
    2. The Enable cookies checkbox must be checked, and Accept all cookies should be selected in the "Normal coookies" drop-down.
    3. Save changes by clicking OK

 Safari

  • Safari 4.0

    1. Click on the Cog icon
    2. Click Preferences
    3. Change to the Security tab.
    4. Select Only from sites I visit radio button.
    5. Close the dialog box to save changes.

 Netscape

  • Netscape 6.1

    1. Click Edit on the menu bar. Select Preferences
    2. Under Privacy and Security, choose Cookies(Click to expand the list if you don´t see the subcategories)
    3. Click one of the radio buttons to: Enable cookies for the originating web site only, or Enable all cookies.

  • Netscape 4.6

    1. Click Edit on the menu bar. Select Preferences
    2. Click Advanced
    3. Click to check the box labeled Accept All Cookies
    4. Click Ok

 AOL

  • AOL 9.0

    1. Open Quick Start
    2. Click on Setting
    3. Double click on Control Panel
    4. Go to Internet Options
    5. Go to Security then Custom Levels
    6. Scroll down until you see Cookies
    7. Check to enable your cookies
    8. Click O.K. , then click O.K. again

  • AOL 5.0

    1. In AOL 5.0´s browser, go to the Tools menu
    2. Click Internet Options from the list
    3. Click the Security tab from the top
    4. Click the Custom Level button near the bottom
    5. Scroll down until you see Cookies

How to Use

  1. Search for and add the designs you like to your bag
  2. Email one or all to us from your shopping bag*
  3. Don’t bother with your bag and just email each one as you find them to us

  4. *This requires cookies to be running in your browser - test your browser now.

How to Search

There are three ways you can find designs.

  1. The search box (in the top right corner).
  2. Click on a vendor/brand name in the left side of the site
  3. Search within a vendor/brand- follow #2 above and then use search box in the page
